MORIGUCHI Kenji

Kenji Moriguchi was born in Kanagawa prefecture. He graduated from the Kunitachi College of Music and its graduate school. He studied in Italy under the Program of Overseas Study for Upcoming Artists of the Agency for Cultural Affairs. He won first prize in the 22nd Music Contest in Iizuka and in the 36th Rome Festival 2007 International Competition. After his debut with the Fujiwara Opera in 2006 with the role of Barone di Trombonok in “Il Viaggio a Reims”, he has performed in “La Bohéme”,“L’elisir d’amour”, “Il barbiere di Siviglia”, “Le Comte Ory”, “Falstaff”, “La Traviata”, “Un Ballo In Maschera”, “Don Pasquale” to high acclaim. His wide range of activities include performances in “Rigoletto”, “Carmen”, “La Bohéme” in numerous theaters singing the national anthem of Azerbaijan at an international soccer match against the Japanese national team and performance in the NHK New Year’s Opera Concert. He is a member of the Fujiwara Opera.
